Ensuring water for industry and communities
Aguas CAP is located 25 km north of Caldera, in the middle of the Atacama Desert. It has been operating since 2014 and its main activity is to produce and transport desalinated water in the region. It currently supplies all of CMP’s operations in the Copiapó valley; provides water resources to other mining operations, which deliver it for human consumption in Caldera and Chañaral; and supplies water for agriculture in the Mal Paso Canal, in the Tierra Amarilla sector.
