CMP is the main producer of high quality iron ore and pellets in the American Pacific coast, standing out for its production of magnetic iron with up to 69% iron (Fe) content, one of the highest quality in the world.

Because of its purity, this material improves the efficiency of the steelmaking process, reducing emissions and energy consumption in steel production. Thus, it is positioned as a key player in the supply of essential materials for global decarbonization.

CMP concentrates its operations in the Atacama and Coquimbo regions, with presence in the Copiapó, Huasco and Elqui valleys, developing a strong regional identity.

Products

From its mining deposits and plants located in the Atacama and Coquimbo regions, CMP produces different products that are exported and used mainly as raw material to manufacture steel. Almost all of the iron ore exported from Chile is produced by the company.
